People are the heart beat of our practice. Our team of experienced professionals has a love for dentistry and a natural passion for serving people. For over 30 years, We have been providing comprehensive family dentistry to the Crown Point community. Even with 37 years of combined dental experience, the entire team continues to attend education courses, on a continual quest to learn, grow, and adapt to the latest techniques and technology for top care and patient comfort.

Personal Life and Hobbies
Spending quality time with my wife and three daughters. Interests include music, picking up a book daily, movie watching and anything active from biking to bowling and pick-up basketball.
I enjoy the beauty of being a general dentist that can build strong relationships with patients and having the knowledge and skillset to provide quality care. A goal of mine is to not be a "One-Trick Pony," by providing treatment options and putting the patient in the driver's seat.
Dr. Eric Compton
Dr. Eric offers a unique combination of artistic skill coupled with advanced scientific techniques. He has been bringing the best and the latest in dentistry to Northwest Indiana for over 30 years.
Why we love him
Dr. Eric has a special talent and vision for cosmetic dentistry. He has spent many hours studying the relationship between a healthy mouth and a healthy body.
Education
Dr. Eric is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Northwest Indiana Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Laser Academy, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Chicago Dental Society.
He is certified in sedation dentistry and belongs to the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He has fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and Midwest Implant Institute.
Dr. Eric is also the owner of a Mini Dental Implant Center of America. He is on staff at Community Hospital and Franciscan Hospitals in Dyer and Hammond.
Dr. Eric started Dental Home Health, a service that brings dentistry to the houses and facilities for those unable to go to the dentist. He is also the director of Dental Services at Hartsfield Village.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Dr. Eric is an entrepreneur with multiple business ventures. In 2017, he was voted innovator of the year by The Society of Innovators.
When not in the office, Dr. Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He and his wife are very active in the community and serve on various boards. Dr. Eric also has a passion for classic and exotic sports cars, hockey, golf, tennis, and skiing.
Dr. Vivienne Zhang
Dr. Vivienne Zhang is a highly accomplished dentist who combines her passion for dentistry with a commitment to ongoing education and delivering individualized, exceptional patient care for her patients. Born in China and raised in the vibrant city of New York from a young age, she earned her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from St. John's University. Fueled by her passion for dentistry, she remained in the heart of NYC to pursue her professional career at New York University College of Dentistry, graduating with the esteemed distinction of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. Following the completion of her dental education, Dr. Zhang sought further training by undertaking a year-long comprehensive General Dentistry Residency program in Brooklyn, New York.
After completing a rigorous General Dentistry Residency in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Zhang gained invaluable experience in private practices. Her dedication and expertise led her to build two successful private practices in Madison, Wisconsin, where she served thousands of patients over six years. Throughout her career, Dr. Zhang has prioritized continuous growth and professional development. She has completed extensive continuing education, including renowned programs such as the Kois Center of Dentistry and the Misch Implant Institute, to refine her skills and stay at the forefront of dental advancements.
With a strong focus on comprehensive and evidence-based dentistry, Dr. Zhang embraces the Kois dental philosophies, emphasizing the interrelationship between function, esthetics, and long-term oral health. Through her training, she has acquired expertise in occlusion, restorative dentistry, smile design, and interdisciplinary treatment planning. Additionally, her training at the Misch Implant Institute has equipped her with advanced skills in implant dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical placement, and restoration of dental implants.
Dr. Zhang's commitment to providing exceptional dental care extends beyond her technical expertise. She is not only a skilled dentist but also a warm and personable individual who creates a welcoming and friendly environment for her patients. Her infectious laughter can often be heard echoing throughout the office, putting her patients at ease and fostering a sense of comfort during their dental visits. With a natural ability to connect with people, Dr. Zhang's personable nature shines through in her interactions. She takes the time to listen to her patient's concerns, ensuring they feel heard and understood. Her compassionate and empathetic approach builds trust and fosters open communication, allowing her to tailor treatment plans to meet each patient's unique needs and preferences. Driven by a passion for excellence, she continues to invest in her professional development to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zhang's biggest passion is traveling. She embraces opportunities to explore new places and capture precious moments with friends and family. Dr. Zhang is also excited about her new home in Northwest Indiana, where she looks forward to making a positive impact in her new community.
